RE: arcGIS 9.1 question(s)

North, Michael

Jeremy and Scott:

I’d check the following items:

1.)     See if shape file attributes changed;

2.)     See if the file data and time stamp on the shape file changed; and

3.)     See if the Agent Analysts, Repast Py, or Repast J shape file writing method is being called.

hi michael,

Is there some special way to check to see if the shape files are being updated?  I've simply been opening up the attribute table after running a few steps in Repast.  The attributes are unchanged even after closing and re-opening the table.

It should work for ArcGIS 9.1, especially if you are seeing the refresh indicator (i.e., the globe icon).  Can you check to see if the shape files are being updated?

Subject: [Repast-interest] arcGIS 9.1 question

Does Repast have any problems updating data in ArcGIS 9.1?  I ran a program that updated data successfully using the EsriDisplay in an older version of ArcGIS, but since I've installed ArcGIS 9.1, the ArcMap appears to refresh (the little globe on the bottom bar blinks), but the data does not change as it is supposed to.

Any ideas on what's causing this problem?
